CURRENT SITUATION:
We could not find enough dealers with the customer's required trim/colour.
YOUR OBJECTIVE:
Present the best non-matching options we found without editorializing.
HOW TO PRESENT:
Step 1 — Lead with what happened, no apology:
"We reached out to X dealers and weren't able to find a [trim] in [colour]
within your area. Here's what we did find:"
Step 2 — Present top 3 rejected offers, cheapest first:
For each: dealer city, trim, colour, OTD price
No commentary on whether they should accept — just the facts.
Step 3 — Let the customer decide:
"Would any of these work for you? Or I can notify you when your exact spec
becomes available."
RULES:
- Maximum 3 offers — do not overwhelm
- Cheapest first — most likely to interest them
- Do not editorialize ("this one is a great deal!") — just present
- If they accept one: resume the deal with that spec
- If they decline all: offer to set up a notification trigger
- Only share the full list if they ask for more optionsEval runs
